Joachim Kimaryo a.k.a. Master J as he is fondly known in Tanzania’s growing music industry founded in 1996 what is today one of Tanzania’s foremost digital recording studios - MJ Records.
This man is undisputedly one of the pioneers of 'Bongo Flava' a distinctive predominantly hip-hop Tanzanian sound that has taken the continent by storm. He has played an integral role in the development of Bongo Flava and the growth of the broader music industry in Tanzania.
